Pastoral Care

Pastoral care refers to the empathetic spiritual support & guidance provided by those uniquely gifted to reveal Jesus as the good shepherd. Its aim is to attend to the needs of people's souls, especially as they cope with personal difficulties, pressures, stress, burn-out, pain, loneliness, loss, illness or major life transitions (which is why it includes the classics like premarital counseling or officiating weddings & funerals). But the big idea of pastoral care is to provide a safe, non-judgmental, confidential environment for people to process their emotions and tap into God's counsel and provision to help them regain & maintain their sense of peace & well-being.

We offer pastoral care to individuals,

couples, families and groups.

Pastoral care provides support, prayer, encouragement, dialogue & guidance to promote resilience by giving people the support and tools to help them endure adversity and grow personally. Additionally, it can help people gain moral clarity to make decisions consistent with their values in times of ethical quandaries.

We also share a strong sense of calling

to provide pastoral care to leaders.

We have a long history of experience & carry a deep passion for pastoring those who pastor, for providing pastoral care for missionaries, & for working with faith-oriented organizations of all kinds to craft tailored care plans that allow The Shepherds Collective to provide cohesive & ongoing soul-care & pastoral care support to specific segments within your organization. â€‹

Pastoral care is not clinical counseling which

requires specialized degrees & professional licensure.
